The internet’s most popular and successful streaming D&D show is now giving Critters a look behind the scenes with a new nonfiction book.
On Thursday, Critical Role announced their new project, The World of Critical Role, a nonfiction title that will feature all-new interviews from the cast that delve deeper into the lore, characters, and the world of Exandria than ever before.
“This book offers you the change to experience the behind-the-scenes journey of how a circle of friends’ home game became the most-watched fantasy RPG livestream of all time,” said Rachel Romero, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Critical Role, in her article announcing the book. “Hear from the players themselves about their most triumphant moments and darkest hours. And celebrate the massive community of Critters who support and expand the show’s world, through the crafts, cosplay, and art they create every day.”
The book will also be illustrated with over 100 brand new pieces of art by Oliver Berrett and photography by Ray Kachatorian.
The book will hit store shelves September 15 and pre-orders are now available at criticalrolebooks.com. If you pre-order before March 12 and send in the receipt, your name will appear in the book as “a very fancy and very cool calligram.”
